Hi there! Welcome to the Serenely Sam blog and my very first post!
For quite a while now I’ve had an overwhelming urge to overhaul my life, and, as you do, I decided to start a blog and blog about my overhaul too. You lucky things!
Over the years, I’ve had a lot of trouble with Polycystic Ovaries (PCOS), endometriosis, and infertility. All of which has left me in quite a low place. I cannot allow that to be the case anymore. It’s like I’ve been walking around with a dark cloud over my head. It was time to get it together and start taking care of myself mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
The plan is to start a wellness and self-care journey and to live more positively and serenely.
I can’t cure the Endometriosis or PCOS, but I can try to do something to ease the effects of each condition. I’ll speak to my gynecologist about treatment options and research which foods and exercises are best suited to each condition. I need to take responsibility for myself instead of making excuses, and finally attempt to lose weight and get fitter once and for all.
I am not a doctor or an expert on any of these subjects, by no means. I’m a mum, and a woman, with a passion to start living life to the fullest, instead of just existing.
My self-care has to be my priority, not only for my own benefit but for the sake of my family too. I need to be the best me, so I can be the best mum and partner. I’m going to take a more serene and holistic approach to everyday life. I intend to start meditating, doing yoga and Tai Chi, learning more about crystal healing and anything else holistic I find interest in along the way.
To say I am excited to start this next chapter of my life would be an understatement. I am determined to find a better way to cope with my health symptoms and start living more serenely!
