Hi there, and welcome to the Serenely Sam blog!
A little bit about me…
I’m Sam, a thirty-something mama to a four year old girl called Molly, and Fiancée to Chris, who is a bit of a bearded grump – think along the lines of Victor Meldrew and you’ve hit the nail on the head!
I’m socially awkward, much to my sister’s amusement, and an extroverted introvert. An all-around hoot really! Yes, that’s a hoot, not a boot!
Molly is a night owl, making me a very unwilling insomniac! I thought she’d be sleeping better now that she’s started school, but she obviously thought different! Caffeine and matchsticks are the only reasons my eyes are open!
Once upon a time, I was an ICT Tutor at an educational charity, but I now work Freelance as a Writer and Blogger.
This isn’t my first foray into the blogging game. Some of you will have known me as the blogger behind the Stressy Mama brand. I decided to have a bit of a rebrand, so here I am!
A little bit about the blog
This blog is about life, its up and downs, and my bid to lead a healthier lifestyle.
I’ve got Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and have struggled with Infertility and Secondary Infertility. In 2017 I had the unfortunate experience of an Ectopic Pregnancy, which completely devastated me. A combination of all of these things lead me on a quest of leading a healthier lifestyle.
I went from feeling a bit sorry for myself to taking control of myself.
My own Self-Care and Wellness became a priority. I exercise regularly, meditate often, and my overall aim is to lose weight so I feel healthier and the side effects of my health conditions lessen.
I hope that by sharing my experiences I can raise awareness and inspire those going through something similar themselves.
