Hi there, and welcome to the Serenely Sam blog!
A little bit about me…
I’m Sam, a thirty-something mama to a three year old girl called Molly (born July 2014), and Fiancée to Chris, who is a bit of a bearded grump – think along the lines of Victor Meldrew and you’ve hit the nail on the head!
I’m an extroverted introvert and extremely socially awkward; much to my sister’s amusement! Molly is a night owl, making me a very unwilling insomniac! Caffeine and matchsticks are the only reasons my eyes are open!
Once upon a time, I was an ICT Tutor at an educational charity, but I now work Freelance as a Writer and Blogger.
This isn’t my first foray into the blogging game. Some of you will have known me as the blogger behind the Stressy Mama brand. In fact, the site is still up and running (for now), but I decided to have a bit of a rebrand, so here I am!
A little bit about the blog
Weirdly, the inspiration for this blog came from quite a negative place.
Firstly, I discovered the name of my first blog, Stressy Mama, was really similar to another blogger’s name. I didn’t want there to be any confusion between the two sites so I decided a rebrand was the best option for me.
The focus of the Stressy Mama blog was family, lifestyle and craft topics. For a long time though, I had wanted to leave the crafting behind (because I’m useless at it) and start talking different things.
Rebranding presented me with the perfect opportunity to do this. As well as family and lifestyle related topics, you can also expect to find me writing about things such as:
- Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
- Infertility and secondary infertility
- Pregnancy loss
I hope that by sharing my experiences with each of the above I can raise awareness, and hopefully, the posts will prove helpful to those that might also be going through something similar themselves.
